Meet Sydney Park-Brown

Sydney has been "around" longer than she wants to admit. Currently she is teaching faculty at UF’s distance campus in Plant City, as well as the state Extension Specialist for Consumer Horticulture. In this position, she develops educational programs, curriculum and EDIS pubs for extension faculty and Master Gardener volunteers.

Prior to 2007, she was a horticulture extension agent and Master Gardener coordinator in Hillsborough County for many years and (prior to that!) a horticulture program assistant for Volusia County Extension.

Her long career in Extension has been rewarding in many ways not only for the wonderful education she has gained along the way, but also for the association she has enjoyed with dedicated UF faculty and Master Gardener volunteers.

Sydney is married to Rick and enjoys traveling, cooking, her two dogs Baci and Gusto—and of course, gardening!
