Flowers and Foliage

False Heather, Mexican Heather (Cuphea hyssopifolia)

This compact, one to two foot, low branching, dense shrub is ideal for ground cover use or as an edging. The arching stems are covered by finely-textured leaves which are simple, opposite, entire, linear, and less than two inches long. Depending on the cultivar, small flowers are purple, pink, or white and bloom much of the year.
